The Chapel
The beautiful, historic 110 year old wooden chapel at Tanglewood was relocated to the site and has been lovingly restored and rebuilt.
The large chapel windows look out to a beautiful view of the bay.

We have conducted many funerals at the beautiful Tanglewood Estate in Dromana. The grounds are expansive and very private. The chapel is intimate, authentic and rustic. And the mood is always different. No two funerals have been the same.

Whether it's for a gentle good-bye with little fanfare, or a raucous celebration with dancing and laughter, Tanglewood will work.
Talk about Authentic (there's no heating)
The Chapel is unheated so if you are attending a funeral at Tanglewood during the colder months, please be sure to dress appropriately.
Getting there
Tanglewood estate can be tricky to reach, so please inform your family and friends attending a funeral service that they will need to approach via: Balnarring Rd – Foxeys Rd – Bulldog Creek Rd (unsealed).
About 900m along Bulldog Creek Rd you’ll see an unmarked open gate at the driveway which leads to the chapel.
At that first gate, there should be a small ‘FUNERAL HERE TODAY’ sign near the gate. If you reach the gate marked ‘Tanglewood’, you’ve gone too far.
Some maps guide people to use other routes which will cause frustrations and lengthy delays.

Following the service

Attendees can take some time out in nature to refresh, or gather in the on-site studio for refreshments to catch up, share memories and enjoy the amazing scenery.

Refreshments

You are welcome to BYO caterers to Tanglewood to allow your family and friends to gather for nourishment following the funeral. The rustic studio adjacent to the carpark offers a unique relaxed atmosphere in which to catch up with loved ones and reminisce.
